To do this, for a number of years we’ve been opting for sustainable raw materials when designing our collections.In 2022, our collections were already made of 66% more sustainable fibers. By 2025, this will be the case for all of our products

the planet. We are working toward achieving this balance as quickly as possible.

We owe it to you and your family.

That's why, for several years now, we've favored the use of raw materials in the design of our collections: organic or recycled cotton, linen, hemp...

By 2025, we aim to make 100% of our textiles to contain materials recognized as having less impact on the planet (organic cotton, polyester or recycled cotton, hemp or linen).

When we say we're committed, we take action. And we surround ourselves with recognized partners on every subject.

Reforest’Action

Limiting our carbon footprint is one thing, but we've also decided to offset it. And, in particular, in the areas where our garments are produced.

We act to preserve as much local biodiversity as possible and to improve the quality of life of local communities.

Since 2021, Kiabi has been funding an action for the forest with the Reforest'Action program.

1,200,000 trees planted Assam in India, in Sumara in Indonesia and in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal) representing 709 hectares of regenerated forest.

ORGANIC COTON ACCELERATOR

This organization supports farms in India to help them develop organic cotton cultivation.

Every dollar invested in their program improves farmers' prosperity, contributes to sustainability and ultimately strengthens the integrity of the cotton sector.

We joined this program in 2021, with 3,000 farms now growing organic cotton exclusively for us.

By working directly with them, without the usual middlemen, we guarantee these farmers a wage 7 to 10% higher than the market rate.

It's another step towards transparency and traceability.

SWABHIMAAN PROJECT

Stitching Vocational Training Program (India) with NGO EK PAHAL

This project is a social entrepreneurial project, with the vision to educate, enrich and empower underprivileged women to build a skill set suited for employment and enable them to support their family.

Kiabi India collaborated with an NGO Ek Pahal and paid for the construction of dedicated training room, equipments and supporting staff. 40 Women Beneficiaries ​were identified from the local areas and were registered for the first batch.

Project Achievement :

  • 20 Women were employed in export houses and local boutiques.
  • 5 Women were self-employed and using stitching skills for earning
  • 5 Girls decided to pursue fashion designing course , which is also sponsored by KIABI.

Kiabi is extending the association with Ek Pahal and is planning to work on different ideas like education, health and hygiene improvement for underprivileged etc.
